These type of "e-conomizers" represent dehumidification Air Handling Unit and are especially designed to maintain temperature and humidity in indoor swimming pools. The basic components providing the dehumidification of the air are air to air plate heat exchanger and a heat pump. To prevent the aggressive influence of the cleaning agents used in swimming pools, the plate heat exchanger and the heat pump coils are provided with special epoxy coating.

As the standards of the indoor swimming pools are maintained at a temperature above 28°C, the supply air must be at a temperature higher than the room temperature, therefore cooling mode is not provided. In summer mode the heat pump is turned off and the Air Handling Unit works at 100% fresh air.

It is used in the initial heating of the room (cold pool). In very low outdoor temperatures the room tempering becomes faster and thus supports the main heating of the pool.

During operation, the “e-conomizer” provides smooth separation of condensate even without siphons. Using siphons is advisable, when the condensing pipes are connected to the sewage network in order to avoid transfer of odors.

The service side is determined by the direction of the supply air flow. As a standard, all max.e “e-conomizers” are with right service side judging by the direction of the supply airflow, except max.e-mini air handling units. As a standard max.e-mini are with left service side. Recommended clearance for installation, maintenance and service are listed in the accompanying documentation of the air handling unit.

The filters are located on the suction side of fresh air and exhaust side air from the room. Their service is on the underside of the air handling unit.

The air filters and their condition should be checked over a period of time depending on the intensity of the air handling unit and to be replaced with new ones when it is established their contamination that would prevent the correct operation of the “e-conomizer”?

This is possible with a communication circuit board which is mounting on the unit’s controller. Depending on the type of the operating protocol of the BMS system, there are different circuit boards.

From the Remote LCD display can be made custom settings as changing the air temperature of the room, changing the airflow of the unit and monitoring the main indicators of the air handling unit.

Yes, remote internet monitoring of the air handling unit is possible by installing a specialized circuit board for internet connection to the controller of the unit.

It allows to monitor the operation of the max.e in real time over the internet. Also it allows making changes in the software, graphic logs, notification by e-mail, changing the working modes, remote start up and 72h tests, option to save work and service parameters, monitoring the variables and diagnostics of workflow problems.

The communication board itself is mounted on the controller of the “e-conomizer”. A specialized software is being made, which is strictly individual for the unit and this must be mentioned in the order of the unit itself. An adjustment to the internet is being made, BMS adjustment, graphic set up and work adjustment to the air handling unit according to the client’s requirements.
